About the role

  • Minimum five years experience in nuclear medicine including at least two years previous PET & CT or nuclear medical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic PET/CT imaging or Therapy procedures to include: injection of radio- pharmaceutical, the administration of oral contrast, protocol setup, patient positioning, reconstruction and filming of images, network image transfers, and archiving of image data.
  • Emphasizes the need to deliver quality products and/or services; defines standards for quality and evaluated products, processes, and service against those standards; manages quality.
  • SCOPE: Under general supervision, performs diagnostic PET/CT imaging, therapy procedures, and related functions.
  • Collaborates with Radiation Service Director and Supervisor on technical issues, equipment performance and QA.
  • Supports and adheres to the New York Oncology Hematology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
  • Under general supervision, performs diagnostic PET/CT imaging, therapy procedures, and related functions.

  • Requires ability to reach above shoulder height.

Nice to have

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or from an AMA accredited program or Associates or Bachelors degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA accredited program and PET/CT certification.
  • General knowledge of patient scheduling and billing systems.
  • CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) and/or ARRT (Nuclear) certification where required by state law.
  • Certification either in ARRT ( R) or (CT) or NMTCB (CT) is also preferred.

Compensation

  • $50 - $70 per hour
