About the role
- Critical parts of the job/Key Responsibilities
- Provide efficient pharmacy hub services linking prescriptions with the pharmacies best able to fulfill the patient's specialized needs for the lowest possible price.
- Utilize established pharmacy/clinical guidelines for decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a balance of productivity, quality, and timeliness to ensure everything gets accomplished.
- Create and support an environment that fosters teamwork, cooperation, respect, and diversity.
- Establish and maintain a positive communication and professional demeanor with internal and external business partners.
- Cross-functional collaboration - You will build strong relationships with internal teams, pharmacies, prescribers, and payers and contribute to a seamless, connected experience that elevates the entire hub operation.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- 1 or more years of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician
- Work within the Operations department and across different departments to obtain required information.
- Accurate and timely data entry of prior authorization requests within the prior authorization system is required to meet all client-specific and/or contract requirements.
- By managing referrals with care and urgency, you directly impact a patient's ability to access life-changing specialty pharmaceuticals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, also interpersonal skills required
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide solutions to complex problems
- This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy of the referrals by entering any necessary data, assessing specific requests, and performing any required follow-ups.
