Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive electrical, mechanical, and environmental test plans to ensure our hardware thrives in the wild
  • Drive continuous improvement activities for Miovision's Quality Management System
  • Support manufacturing team in resolving quality issues on the production line and driving continuous improvement projects
  • Implement robust quality control processes (like ESS and burn-in testing) to isolate latent defects found in manufacturing before our products ever reach a city intersection
  • Partner with suppliers and operations teams to conduct rigorous First Article Inspections (FAI) and guarantee top-tier component reliability
  • Work closely with Operations and Manufacturing to perform quality analysis on third party parts and triage

Requirements

  • You have a proven track record of leading hands-on engineering or quality initiatives, taking physical products from early prototype testing through to full-scale production.
  • You have practical experience implementing improvements to strengthen Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015).
  • You possess a technical degree or diploma paired with a solid understanding of electrical systems, mechanical assemblies, or both.
  • You're an expert at root-cause analysis, electronic debugging, and the sustainability processes required to keep hardware stable throughout its entire lifecycle.
  • Mastery of Hardware Quality: You have a proven track record of leading hands-on engineering or quality initiatives, taking physical products from early prototype testing through to full-scale production.
  • System Expert: You have practical experience implementing improvements to strengthen Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015).
  • Diagnostic Intuition: You're an expert at root-cause analysis, electronic debugging, and the sustainability processes required to keep hardware stable throughout its entire lifecycle.
