About the role
- This individual will rescue swimmers in distress, apply resuscitation, and administer emergency care when needed.
- Position is contingent upon Campus Operations/COVID-19 Restrictions.
- Will ensure water safety and enforce all safety rules in and out of the water.
Responsibilities
- The Part-Time Lifeguard maintains the pool and related facilities. This individual will rescue swimmers in distress, apply resuscitation, and administer emergency care when needed.
- Maintains pool and pool equipment
- Maintains order and discipline among swimmers and other persons at the pool. Assists supervisor in carrying out pool procedures.
- The Part-Time Lifeguard maintains the pool and related facilities.
- Maintains pool and pool equipment; assists in other routine activities relating to pool operations, such as college activities, etc.
Requirements
- Must have a Valid Lifeguard Certification.
- Must be able to pass a swimming performance test.
- Must have effective communication skill and the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Must be 18 years old or older.
Skills
- Requires frequent sitting and moving about, continuous use of fine motor skills, and pushing and pulling of up to 100 lbs.
