About the role

You will provide primary direction for the defense and legal strategy for litigation commenced against the company.
Supervise outside counsel to assure the representation of the company is of a scope and quality appropriate to the nature of each case and is observing the applicable rules of professional conduct for attorneys.
This includes catastrophic injury and wrongful death litigation, as well as high exposure property damage cases.

Lead a team of Litigation professionals including attorneys and litigation adjusters responsible for managing challenging enterprise claims litigation.
Oversee and manage the performance and outcomes of a portfolio of high complexity and high severity claims litigation.
You will collaborate with panel and staff counsel as appropriate while driving resolution strategies that balance customer, financial and reputational considerations.
Attract, develop, and retain a highly engaged team that contributions to overall success of the enterprise and escalate any significant matters to our executive leadership.
Create a collaborative, performance-driven work environment by facilitating and fostering trust, transparency and inclusion.
You will also work with team members to set clear goals, provide feedback, perform performance assessments and support ongoing development.
