Responsibilities

  • Confidently lead a team through the completion of a bid process for larger and complicated projects. (Scope definition, risk profiling, division of work among team members, facilitate and lead executive reviews meeting.)
  • Review drawings and tender documents to understand scope of work and submission requirements.
  • Assemble accurate, timely and well-organized estimates, including hard-bid, construction management and design-build.
  • Prepare reports and lead executive bid review meetings.
  • Recognize and evaluate risks within each specific project and produce and maintain a risk registry.
  • Maintain databases, including labour rates, material pricing and project costs, for future reference.
  • Support the project handover process to the Project Delivery / Operation teams.
  • Men tor and develop junior staff within the estimating department.
  • Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
  • Maintains continuity among corporate, division and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing bid needs.

Requirements

  • You have a Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Construction
  • 1 2 + years of civil construction experience with a focus on transportation infrastructure (roads, bridges, rail)
