About the role
- In this strategic role, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery function, managing Technical Architects and Product Owners while owning the delivery pipeline for Shopify-based products.
- This role demands a seasoned leader with deep expertise in Shopify and a proven background in project management, product management, and software engineering.
- You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, on-time launches of complex commerce platforms, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and continuously innovating to improve the delivery process.
Responsibilities
- Own the overall delivery function for Shopify projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.
- Oversee multiple project teams, including Product Owners and Technical Architects, to deliver scalable, high-performing eCommerce solutions.
- Establish and maintain best practices for project delivery, focusing on efficiency, innovation, and quality.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives and success metrics, ensuring alignment with client business strategies.
- Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in delivery methodologies, incorporating feedback and emerging trends.
- Leverage your technical background to guide solution design, ensuring it aligns with Shopify best practices.

Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in project delivery, product management, or software engineering, with a significant focus on eCommerce.
- Proven success delivering complex, enterprise-grade eCommerce solutions on time and within budget.
- Experience managing, mentoring, and scaling diverse teams across technical and non-technical functions.
- Experience engaging with enterprise clients, providing strategic insights, and managing escalations effectively.
- Technical and Process Proficiency
- Experience with ERP, OMS, CMS, and third-party solution integrations (e.g., Netsuite, Sanity, Manhattan).
- Professional Experience
- Deep expertise with Shopify Plus and its ecosystem, including custom development, integrations, and migrations.
- Leadership Skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, balancing technical and business priorities.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming delivery challenges.
- Client Engagement
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust with senior stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, eCommerce platforms, and technical architecture.
Nice to have
- Shopify certifications or equivalent expertise.
- Experience transitioning from platforms like Magento, Salesforce, or BigCommerce to Shopify.
- Background in enterprise project portfolio management, overseeing multi-million-dollar budgets.
