About the role

Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network.
In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week.
These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content.

Own Breaking News: Respond quickly to breaking news and live events, delivering dynamic visual storytelling under deadline pressure.
Create for Every Screen: Produce content for linear television, FOX LOCAL streaming, digital platforms, social media, connected TV, and emerging distribution channels.
Collaborate Across the Newsroom: Partner with reporters, producers, assignment editors, digital teams, and newsroom leadership to develop compelling visual storytelling.
Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
A valid driver's license and a clean/acceptable driving record is required at all times.
Must be able to operate station vehicles throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
Exceptional Storytelling: A passion for visual journalism with the ability to tell compelling stories through photography, natural sound, lighting, and editing.
Technical Excellence: Experience with professional ENG cameras, non-linear editing systems, live transmission technology, and field production equipment.
Creative Eye: Ability to identify unique visual opportunities and elevate storytelling through composition, lighting, and sound.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
Candidate will be required to join the I.A.T.S.E Local 819 union.

FOX 5 DC / FOX 5 Plus is seeking an innovative, driven, and creative Photojournalist to join our award-winning news team.
This position is based in our state-of-the-art newsroom and studio in Bethesda, MD.
FAA Part 107 certification is preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Mid- to major-market newsroom experience preferred.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $49.69 per hour.
