About the role
- The Midwest Deputy Finance Director assists the Midwest Finance Director in overseeing the major donor fundraising efforts in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
- The Deputy Finance Director works closely with their Finance Director in creating and implementing a region-specific finance plan and supporting the execution of principal and surrogate travel and fundraising events.
- The Deputy Finance Director is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with the top donors in their region.
Responsibilities
- Providing support for the execution of travel in the region including scheduling donor meetings for principals, creating and editing briefing memos, and preparing other materials as needed.
- Providing support to the Regional Finance Director as needed.
- Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in related field.
- 3-4 years of related work experience.
- Working knowledge of NGP database.
- Some travel required.

- Experience working on campaign or political committee finance teams for 1-2 cycles preferred.

- Travel: The Midwest Deputy Finance Director position will require travel, which could be up to 15% of the time.
- This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends.
- This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.

Compensation
- The starting salary for the Midwest Deputy Finance Director position is $85,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
- This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends.
- This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
- Due to federal campaign finance rules, only U.S. citizens or U.S. green card holders are eligible for this role.
