About the role
- Schedule: Pharmacy services operate 24/7.
- Assigned shifts may occur between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM Pacific Time and may include weekends and holidays based on operational needs.
- This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
- Support Veterans by answering pharmacy-related telephone inquiries, assisting with prescription requests, and delivering professional customer service.
- Follow established pharmacy support workflows, call handling procedures, and quality standards while working toward first-contact resolution.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently.
- Strong computer proficiency, keyboarding skills, and ability to navigate multiple software applications simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of pharmacy operations, prescription processing, and medication terminology.
- Document patient interactions in CPRS and other required systems while verifying patient identity and maintaining HIPAA and privacy compliance.
- Maintain required pharmacy technician certification and training while performing additional duties within the technician scope of practice.
Nice to have
- Experience in a call center, contact center, or centralized pharmacy environment supporting pharmacy services.
