About the role

In this position, you will be responsible for the operation of Rigging equipment during rehearsals, performances or any show-related tasks related to this position.
You will also be key in ensuring Rigging equipment is safely setup, used and maintained, as well as assisting with inventory and safety inspections.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a team player mindset as well as the ability to handle contingencies and work well under pressure.

Run cue track(s) and maintain documentation as directed;
Inspect and maintain equipment and systems as directed;
Document and ensure compliance with the Rigging equipment safety inspection program;
Develop a thorough knowledge of Rigging equipment specific to the production in order to operate it safely;
Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships, by developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time;

Ability to obtain 10-hour OSHA course completion card;
Assist with inventory and, if necessary, identify any additional Rigging equipment that may be required;

College diploma (or equivalent) in live entertainment or theatre production (or equivalent work experience);
At least 2 years experience as a rigger
experience with aerial/human rigging an asset;
Good general understanding of all technical aspects of a show an asset;
Personnel management experience an asset;
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook,...);
Good communication skills;
Ability to work high above the ground (climbing abilities essential);

Ensure the security of facilities at all times, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations;
Maintain a flexible schedule for work calls, special events, rehearsals, training, maintenance and evening show performances;
