About the role
- The Lead Product Engineer provides day-to-day leadership, coordination, and technical direction for the Product Engineering team.
- Reporting directly to the Product Engineering Manager, this role is responsible for driving execution of departmental priorities, managing engineering projects, leading continuous improvement initiatives, coordinating production escalations, and developing Product Engineers through coaching and performance management.
Responsibilities
- Lead process improvement initiatives that improve engineering efficiency, quality, and manufacturing performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum five years of engineering experience in manufacturing.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of power distribution equipment manufacturing.
- Must be able to lift up to twenty-five pounds at times.
Nice to have
- Experience supervising technical personnel.
- Lean Manufacturing experience.
- Six Sigma certification.
- Project Management experience.
- Working knowledge of:
- ANSI/IEEE Standards
- Engineering Change Management
- Bills of Material
