Responsibilities

  • Drive growth of the firm's indirect tax service line.
  • Deliver practical, commercially focused advice that creates value for clients.
  • Develop future leaders within the practice.
  • Lead complex indirect tax advisory engagements involving GST/HST, provincial sales taxes, QST, customs, and other indirect tax matters.
  • Review and oversee indirect tax compliance engagements and support clients through audits, assessments, objections, and appeals.
  • Act as the firm's internal subject matter expert on indirect tax matters and collaborate with Canadian, cross border, US, and advisory teams.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships while serving as a trusted business advisor.
  • Lead engagement teams, manage project budgets, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality client service.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop managers, senior staff, and other team members.
  • Support thought leadership initiatives, client seminars, technical publications, and internal training programs.

Requirements

  • CPA designation required.
  • Strong understanding of indirect tax implications in mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, and cross border transactions.

Compensation

  • $130,000 - $180,000 per annum
  • Along with a competitive base salary we offer comprehensive benefits and perks, performance bonuses and flexible hybrid work.
