About the role

  • This role will serve dual functions as both a community-facing advisor and a member-centric consultant within our financial cooperative.
  • This position is ideal for individuals passionate about community impact and dedicated to fostering financial well-being.
  • It offers the unique opportunity to shape both institutional strategy (through CDFI/community programs) and individual member experiences-driving meaningful change at scale and at the personal level.

Responsibilities

  • Community Development: Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, schools, and nonprofits.
  • Support CDFI-related initiatives and impact tracking.
  • Supports the operations of the Mobile Branch facility, assists with equipment and software updates, maintenance, service, and repairs.
  • Additional Expectations: Deliver high-quality work on time and adapt to changing priorities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 years in a financial services or community engagement role.
  • Local travel within Yakima Valley is required, including visits to community partners, schools, and event venues.
  • Must have reliable transportation.

  • Sales & Service Orientation: Proven ability to meet goals while prioritizing member well-being and ethical standards.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, particularly in business, finance, social sciences, or related fields.
  • Experience with CDFI or community-focused initiatives a strong plus.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, financial planning tools, and CRM systems.
  • Must complete and pass a credit-union paid driver training within 60 days of hire.
  • Experience in, familiarity with, and comfortable driving large vehicles (40' long).
