About the role
- DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is hiring for full-time Level 1 Veterinary Assistants to join our Veterinary Specialty Services.
- If you are passionate about veterinary medicine and are driven to provide thoughtful, relationship-centered care while supporting complex cases, a position as a Specialty Veterinary Assistant Level 1 (VA1) may be the perfect fit for you.
- This is an ideal position for someone with experience as a Veterinary Assistant who is looking to deepen their clinical skills and gain exposure to more complex cases within a specialty setting.

- Excellent client service and teamwork skills.
- Valid Oregon or Washington driver's license for driving the DoveLewis transport van.
- Understanding of animal behavior and knowledge of safe animal handling and transport practices.
- 1+ year experience working in a professional veterinary setting.
- Experience with specialty medicine preferred.
