About the role

  • We are looking for engineers who enjoy working across the stack, care deeply about correctness and reliability, and are comfortable operating in a fast-moving platform environment where quality matters.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, integrate, and test software solutions of moderate complexity.
  • Deliver solutions in live production systems individually and collaboratively.
  • Support and maintain custom features, with occasional on-call availability.
  • Occasional availability for on-call/emergency support

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience (or advanced degree without experience).
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL
  • web development experience.
  • Familiarity with service-oriented or distributed architectures.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively in a team setting.

  • Contribute to the operability of the platform, including monitoring, alerting, debugging, and incident resolution.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Typically 2+ years of professional software engineering experience for Intermediate level
  • full-stack experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and single page applications
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages

  • In addition to building the platform itself, the team owns partner enablement - ensuring SMART is reliable, well-documented, and ready for consumption by external developers, fintech partners, and marketing platforms.
  • The team is intentionally multi-disciplinary and owns the stack end to end, bringing together engineers with backgrounds in backend and frontend software engineering, data engineering, and data science.
  • As SMART evolves, the team's scope will continue to expand beyond a single product toward broader targeted and personalized experience capabilities across Q2's ecosystem.
