Responsibilities
- Provide support to students in addressing personal issues that may be a barrier to academic success; refer students to appropriate campus and community resources.
- Monitor student academic progress, document, and establish systems for student support - including students on academic probation, suspension and other students of concern.
- Provide appropriate interventions and referrals to support resources.
- Analyze information and build data-driven processes to improved procedures and protocols to encourage persistence, retention, and student success.
- Maintain case files and confidential student records in accordance with FERPA and College policy.
- Serve on the College's behavioral intervention team to facilitate cross-campus partnerships to address students of concern and establish wraparound networks for support.
- Other duties as assigned. Perform additional duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
Requirements
- Licenses/Certificates: A valid driver's license or equivalent means of reliable transportation to off-site meetings and events is required.
- REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND CRITICAL SKILLS: This position must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job:
- Strong organizational skills and expertise in planning, implementing, and evaluating student services
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral), analytical ability, sound judgment, and the ability to handle difficult situations with sensitivity and objectivity.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, establish priorities, and work collaboratively as a member of a diverse community.

- Bachelor's degree in liberal arts is required.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in liberal arts is required. Master's degree in counseling, social work, student development or related field is highly preferred.

- Must have knowledge of student life issues that affect student success, such as, mental health, disabilities, sexual harassment and assault, alcohol and drug abuse, and eating disorders.
- Talent to work collaboratively and effectively with multiple constituencies, including students, faculty, parents, alumni, and other campus colleagues.
- Operate computers proficiently with basic Microsoft Office software (such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Outlook) and associated professional software. Use assigned technology/devices/ equipment to achieve annual goals and maintain confidentiality.
- Prioritize and perform multiple projects, meet timelines, respond to others in a timely manner, and work both independently and as a collaborative member of the College with a high standard of integrity and ethics, in support of the College's strategic vision and the department's annual goals.

- Master's degree in counseling, social work, student development or related field is highly preferred.

- REQUIRED HOURS: The regular hours for this full-time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday.
- Holiday, weekend and evening work hours will be required.

- Regular hours may vary due to needs of the College or division.
