Run user research with operators, account leads, and executives.

You are the strategy and measurement anchor for clients trying to make better decisions with their data.
Direct research experience with senior practitioners or executives.
You can run an interview without leading the witness, synthesize across small samples without overreaching, and present findings to people who don't want to hear them.
You can argue for or against scope, sequence, or a feature based on user need, business context, and platform coherence.
A track record of mentoring designers, formally or informally.
Even as a solo practitioner, the way you work needs to be teachable.
