About the role
- Position Overview The contracts and compliance attorney will play a critical role in driving enterprise-wide compliance and risk management.
- Reporting to the Assistant Director of Legal and Compliance, they'll take ownership of contract review and management with a strong focus on vendor oversight and the evaluation of cybersecurity and information security risks.
- They adapt effectively to changing priorities and thrive in dynamic environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead vendor management through analysis of vendor performance, contractual obligations, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and information security risks.
- Manage vendor and contract administration databases and related workflow systems.
- Conduct legal and compliance research to support legal and regulatory initiatives, risk mitigation, and informed decision-making.
- Support preparation of regulatory filings for HAI Group's companies.
- Perform other compliance or legal tasks as directed by the Assistant Director of Legal and Compliance.
- Knowledge of insurance compliance programs, filing obligations, internal controls, and governance structures designed to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Strong organizational and prioritization abilities in order to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Analytical and solutions-driven problem solver, capable of independently interpreting regulatory changes and developing related solutions.
- Inside climate-controlled office building
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in comparable position, preferably with an insurance or financial services company.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with ability to leverage tools for efficiency and accuracy.
