About the role

Responsibilities
- Act as a project engineer and technical lead under the direction of the Engineer of Record for tailings projects
- Manage projects, prepare proposals, and track budgets.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Civil or Geological Engineering
- Post-graduate degree is an asset
- The policy states that an employee may be required to take a drug and alcohol test prior to engaging in field work.
- This testing could be requested within an employee's first week or in the future, as required.
- To meet travel and client requirements, employees may be required to receive vaccinations such as yellow fever, COVID-19, malaria, etc.
Compensation
- The estimated base salary range for this position is $85,000-$160,000 CAD per annum, however base pay will be commensurate with job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

- The Role
- BGC is seeking an Intermediate to Senior Geotechnical or Geological Engineer with experience in tailings management and tailings dam site investigation, design, analysis or construction support.
- They will work in a multidisciplinary team, leading tasks related to earth dam design and construction.
