About the role
- The Machine Operator's primary responsibility is to operate production equipment, including but not limited to punch press, press brake, folding machine, turret press, flatbed laser, tube bender, buffing line, CNC mill and saw.
- Tend to the machine and product to ensure quality and proper operation.
- Use and interpret gauging equipment to verify product dimensions.
Requirements
- 1+ years' hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment required.
- Ability to use hand and power tools (e.g., nibblers, power saws).
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Working knowledge of high-speed production machinery and measurement tools.
- Ability to follow first-piece inspection procedures (First Off Green Tag Procedure).
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
- Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, protractor and other inspection tools that may be required.
- Must be willing and able to work in an environment exposed to elements that can include but are not limited to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures.
- Effective communication.
- Quality-driven with strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area.
