About the role

  • We're hiring a Software Engineer to join our Integrations team and help turn Kodex into the default "Bridge" between law enforcement, companies, and the external systems they already rely on.
  • We leverage AI-assisted, agentic development.
  • Security, correctness and discipline come first.

Responsibilities

  • Building external-facing APIs and "Bridge" infrastructure for ingest/egress of requests between Kodex and third-party systems (service-to-service auth, customer keys, request intake endpoints)
  • Building self-serve integrations (e.g., marketplace-grade Slack app experiences) that eliminate manual setup and reduce on-call/customer support load
  • Leverage AI Agents to accelerate implementation, refactors and debugging while staying accountable for the design and correctness of the system
  • Participating in on-call rotations to maintain system reliability and respond to incidents
  • You'll work closely with Product, Customer Success, and fellow engineers to design, develop, and ship integration capabilities that unlock new workflows.
  • Understand (or are excited to learn deeply) authn/authz patterns such as OAuth2 / OIDC, service-to-service authentication, token hygiene, and secure-by-default interface design
  • You've used AI coding tools effectively in production and know how to guide them with strong engineering judgment (design, architecture, testing)
  • Can take ambiguous requirements (often from external partners) and turn them into clear designs and deliverables
  • We care deeply about the software we build - because our work protects real people.
  • Own projects end to end

Requirements

  • Have experience with (or are excited to learn) Golang and security-focused infrastructure (e.g., AWS Nitro Enclaves, key management, sensitive data handling)

Nice to have

  • Experience with security reviews, compliance-heavy domains, marketplace app ecosystems (e.g., Slack), or large integration migrations.
  • Kodex plays a critical role in helping major companies respond securely and transparently to sensitive data requests from law enforcement, enabling both privacy protection and public safety.
