Requirements

  • Training: Knowledge of Total Quality Management is helpful.
  • Ability to read, understand, and use blueprints, schematics, and test procedures.
  • Ability to use a computer and various software applications, including spreadsheet software.
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience and/or hands-on technical work and writing experience.
  • Knowledge of Total Quality Management is helpful.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • Confers with Failure Analysis personnel to assign project priorities, review test plans, procedures, and objectives.
  • Disassemble the product to investigate and analyze its components. Examine the unit or components for defects related to manufacturing, design, installation, and/or service.
  • Sets up, observes, and conducts tests in both field and laboratory conditions on irrigation products, subassemblies, components, and/or materials under operational conditions to investigate design, components, materials, etc., for performance and to obtain data to identify the root cause of failure and corrective action.
  • Records test procedures, collects test data, records results into the database, and prepares written reports.
  • Confers with Failure Analysis personnel on data analysis and interpretation to determine failure causes and make recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Performs other required duties as needed in addition to the essential functions described above.
  • Both brands offer a full line of solid, dependable, irrigation products including controllers, sensors, valves, spray heads and rotors to help customers care for golf courses, sports fields, public green spaces, commercial and residential.
  • Serving both residential and commercial markets, Unique Lighting Systems offers a full line of outdoor lighting products.
  • The Reliability Technician c onducts and records test results on various irrigation products and/or components to determine the failure mode.
  • Analyze products to determine the cause of failure and facilitate the corrective action process.
  • Collect and organize data for reporting and to establish failure trends.
