About the role
- As a Maintenance Electrical Technician, you will be an integral part of our maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of plant and manufacturing equipment.
- You will uphold high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship while performing a wide range of maintenance tasks.
- Your duties will include diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions, as well as performing preventive maintenance and equipment installations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a thorough understanding of plant safety policies and procedures, ensuring all work is performed in accordance with these standards.
- Drive every issue to its root cause failure or malfunction, utilizing a combination of electrical and mechanical knowledge.
- Install and startup new manufacturing or support equipment, including foundation preparation, assembly, leveling, and alignment according to manufacturer's specifications.
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on plant and manufacturing equipment per documented procedures, assisting in developing maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Design, layout, fit, and install conduit, cable trays, and other industrial wiring systems.
- Perform layout, fitting, and installation of screwed or welded piping components and systems.
- Identify and implement improvements in materials, methods, and processes to enhance profitability and efficiency.
Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in using electrical and mechanical tools and instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
- Basic understanding of CNC machine controls and machine shop equipment operation.
- Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Comfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces and heights.
- Capable of standing, bending, and performing physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
