About the role

  • ANNOUNCMENT OF POSITION VACANCY ABOUT THIS POSITION Summary: Colorado Mesa University is seeking qualified Adjunct Lecturer applicants for the Department of Health Sciences.
  • This position is responsible for teaching class, lab and/or clinicals.
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to effectively present information to students, colleagues, and clinical partners.

Requirements

  • At least two years as a professional nurse with at least 1 year of experience in the area in which they teach.
  • Must have a graduate degree (a minimum of a MSN) from a nationally accredited school to teach didactic.
  • Bachelor's degree required from an accredited school, in the area in which you teach. (Note: For didactic courses, faculty must hold at least one degree level above the level of the program being taught.)
  • At least one year of experience in the specialty in which you teach.
  • Nursing Minimum Qualifications Required:
  • Applicant must be able to verify U.S. employment eligibility.

Nice to have

  • Graduate degree preferred.
  • Experience serving as or working with clinical preceptors.
  • Experience in teaching online, in person, and in simulated environments.
  • Experience with creating and/or revising online assessment & evaluation methods and technology.
  • Experience and understanding of student and/or patient confidentiality.

Compensation

  • $600-$850 per credit hour.
