Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain anesthesia machines, monitoring equipment, and surgical instruments
- Accurately document anesthesia records and perioperative care
- Collaborate closely with surgeons and the specialty team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
- This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside Board-Certified Surgeons and help build a new specialty practice from the ground up.
Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgery and anesthesia
- Experience managing anesthesia for ASA III and higher-risk patients
- Strong understanding of anesthetic monitoring, including:
- Ability to recognize and respond to anesthetic complications
- Familiarity with anesthesia machines, monitoring equipment, and accurate perioperative documentation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. All current positions require the ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
- Additional fluency in other languages is preferred but not required.
- Proficient in anesthetic induction, intubation, monitoring, and recovery
- Blood pressure
- Capnography
- Temperature monitoring
- Skilled in surgical preparation, patient positioning, and maintaining sterile technique
- Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to collaborate with surgeons and specialty team members
Nice to have
- Specialty hospital experience preferred, but not required
Compensation
- $28.00-$35.00 per hour, based on experience
- Highly competitive salary based on experience
