About the role

  • Duties & Responsibilities: Establishes crews, assigns responsibilities, and ensures that the work is completed in accordance with DN Tanks safety/quality programs and meets budgeted man-hours.
  • Reviews and understands the overall job schedule and budget.
  • Reads and interprets tank/contract drawings to ensure work is performed according to specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to travel from job to job and perform jobsite errands.
  • Ability to climb and perform tasks at heights on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders, shoring, and scaffolds.
  • Must maintain current Adult First Aid/CPR Certification (American Red Cross Approved)
  • Obtain and maintain active OSHA 30 Certification in 30 days (or less) after acceptance or promotion to the Assistant Superintendent position
  • Obtain and maintain ACI nozzleman certification
  • This information assists with developing crew sizes and durations.
  • Leads the quality control (QC) program by taking ownership of the quality inspections.
  • Leads the equipment inspections and promptly notifies the Superintendent of any concerns or damage with the machine.
  • Collaborates with the Superintendent or Project Manager to plan daily and long-term work schedule and complete weekly short interval schedules.
  • Utilizes, studies, and maintains (i.e. --- notes and highlighted sections) own set of tank drawings.

Requirements

  • Ability to analyze problems and provide solutions that meet DN Tanks standards.
  • Properly documents required work orders and reports them to the Superintendent or Equipment Manager.
  • Works with the Superintendent or Project Manager to complete all required paperwork for the project including SIS schedule, equipment and QC photos, weekly safety inspection report, timesheets, and equipment inspections.
