About the role

  • As a member of the Allstate Texas First-Party Property/CAT team, you'll champion the defense for the Company!
  • As a Trial Attorney, you'll handle property damage lawsuits, and more, with trials, depositions, and mediations.
  • Beyond the courtroom, you'll provide vital counsel to business clients and coordinate between legal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of insurance defense litigation from case inception to verdict, including initial case assessment, discovery, depositions, motion practice, pre-trial negotiations, courtroom advocacy, and post-trial motions to ensure favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Gather and organize documents, evidence, and legal research for cases, including preparation for hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
  • Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
  • Participate in training sessions and mentorship programs to develop legal work.
  • By providing proactive legal guidance and support, you'll play a pivotal role in driving the company's success.

Requirements

  • Must be commutable distance to courthouses throughout the greater Houston, Texas area.
  • The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
  • When working from home, you must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions, along with appropriate desk and seating.
  • Reliable internet is required, with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.

Compensation

  • The compensation offered for this role is $100, 000.00 - $121,475.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
  • This policy applies to all aspects of the employment relationship, including, but not limited to, hiring, training, salary administration, promotion, job assignment, benefits, discipline, and separation of employment.
