About the role

  • HR promotes an atmosphere of vitality and well-being.
  • This position works closely with other departments and their administration to service their employment needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements processes and procedures for one or many various HR functions such as employee trainings, recruitments, compensation, and payroll
  • The HR Business Partner is a temporary (4-5 month) full-time, salaried/exempt, academic staff position.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience in conflict management.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment law and HR practices.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and effectively recommend solutions.
  • This position requires a working knowledge of employment laws.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of general human resource/talent management principles.
  • Knowledge of UW System and UW Stevens Point policies and procedures.
  • Bachelor's degree or Associates degree in human resources or related field.
  • One year of related experience in human resources.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems (Workday)
