About the role

  • Translate manual and/or low-tech processes into scalable, efficiently automated solutions; evaluate and refactor legacy configurations and automations.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and proper workflow/project documentation.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues; identify and reduce technical debt through continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Salesforce solutions, including workflow analysis, automation improvements, and optimization; serve as project manager for approved initiatives.
  • Build, maintain, and continuously improve workflow automation, efficiency, and interoperability across programs and reporting; serve as project manager for upgrades and new workflow implementations.
  • Manage data synchronization strategies and system-of-record definitions; develop and maintain scalable data models; develop and enforce data governance.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and proper workflow/project documentation. Customize Salesforce applications and implement complex workflows. Develop / maintain Apex test classes for system reliability.
  • Advise leadership using written, executive-ready one-pagers and propos als; provide technical guidance to staff and vendors; manage vendor relationships and oversee vendor projects.
  • Support occasional evening or weekend work for deployments or critical issues.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Salesforce experience with workflow automation and integrations.
  • ability to work both independently and collaboratively, applying sound analytical judgment in all contexts.
  • Experience with Salesforce Flow and Apex development
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and system architecture, c ommitment to data governance, KPI reporting, systems documentation, and version control.

Nice to have

  • Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven environments.
  • Experience with enterprise-wide software system upgrades.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (NPC)/ Agentforce and/or Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP).
  • Experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC) and JavaScript, middleware tools (MuleSoft, Workato, Zapier), and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Salesforce certifications strongly preferred.

  • Ability to work on a computer and see details of objects at close range.
  • Ability to hear within normal range, and communicate effectively (in person, telephone or Zoom ).
