About the role

- Assists with onboarding of new team members. - May provide on-call clinical coverage outside regularly scheduled duty hours on weekdays, weekends and holidays as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Under general supervision, performs diagnostic imaging on patients as ordered by a care provider in routine or emergent conditions.
- Safely administers contrast per protocol and identifies, manages, and escalates contrast reactions and changes in patient condition.
- Accurately documents in EMR/PACS per organizational policies and procedures.
- Performs quality control checks, cleaning, disinfecting and other equipment maintenance tasks per manufacturer instructions for use and other regulatory guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- ARRT(RT) Certification required within 12 months of hire
- License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon hire.
- ARRT(RT) Certification required.
- ARRT(RT)(R) required at hire.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Assists with basic fluoroscopic procedures when required.
Skills
- Knowledge of imaging and Diagnostic X-Ray policies, procedures, techniques, and processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and patient populations served
- Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to apply HIPAA guidelines and standards.
- Ability to prioritize and complete clinical or non-clinical work assignments
- Must be able to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations
- Displays consistency and dependability by reporting to work as scheduled.
- Ability to be sensitive to patients' physical and psychological needs.
