Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage purchase orders for direct and indirect materials, ensuring accuracy, approvals, and timely placement
  • Procure materials based on MRP, Min/Max levels, and demand signals to maintain optimal inventory levels
  • Monitor supplier delivery performance, manage subcontractors, expedite critical orders, and escalate issues impacting production
  • Source materials and services to support internal needs while building and maintaining effective supplier relationships
  • Collaborate with Planning, Production, Quality, and Engineering to ensure material availability, specifications, and documentation meet requirements
  • Support supplier performance tracking, basic negotiations, and continuous improvement initiatives using purchasing data and KPIs
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned
  • This position is responsible for sourcing and purchasing of direct materials and some minor indirect materials and services to support organizational needs.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years' experience in a purchasing environment or related field required.
  • Experience with MRP system
  • Occasional travel required.
  • Position may be required to use Personal Protective Equipment as posted.

Nice to have

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.

Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • The salary range for this position is $67,303.53 - $87,494.59 and is bonus eligible.
  • All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
