About the role

  • You'll be the person who makes sure our books are clean, our close process runs on time, and our leadership team has the numbers they need to make good decisions.
  • This role reports to the Head of Finance and works closely with our Finance, Legal, People and Operations teams.
  • This is an in-office role based in our San Francisco or New York office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead our first audit and manage relationships with auditors and tax advisors
  • Build and maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Drive improvements to our financial systems and processes as we scale
  • Track record of building or improving close processes and internal controls

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 2 years in a Controller role
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Experience in high-growth SaaS or technology companies - you understand what "scaling" actually means for a finance function
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting systems
  • You have start-up DNA: You thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments etc.

Compensation

  • Annual salary range: $200,000-225,000 USD
  • We offer competitive compensation that includes base salary, variable compensation for relevant roles, meaningful equity, benefits, and perks.
  • Actual compensation and offerings will vary based on role, level, and location.

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process - on time and with accuracy
