About the role
- Role Summary The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for communicating and supporting JM core values and delivering the JM experience.
- Will report to the Maintenance Leader and ensure that safety, quality of work, communications, teamwork, team development, and proper accountability are carried out effectively.
- Plans, schedules, and coordinates maintenance activities that include preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, special projects, and service work.
Requirements
- Apply mechanical and electrical proficiency to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve equipment issues in ways that minimize disruptions and improve overall plant throughput.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- Mechanical and electrical proficiency
- The Cornwall facility uses state‑of‑the‑art equipment and CMMS systems, giving you hands‑on experience with industry‑leading tools.
- M ust have a 433A certificate or Red Seal Certificate
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office; CMMS experience preferred)
- Data‑driven decision‑making skills
- Basic math + algebra; PLC experience preferred
- Prior supervisory experience is an asset
- Physical requirements include standing, lifting 50 lbs., manual tasks in varying positions

Compensation
- $ 43.80-$47.10 CAD

- Contribute to achieving targeted reductions in equipment failures by proactively identifying mechanical and electrical issues and implementing long‑term corrective actions.
- Support predictive and preventive maintenance strategies that extend asset life and improve equipment performance.
