About the role
- Pape-Dawson is a seeking a Senior Party Chief for their Wichita, KS office.
- This position works primarily in the field as a Party Chief of a two- or three-person field crew, taking on leadership and advanced technical responsibilities for mid to large-scale survey projects.
- Provide leadership and direction to field crew members, ensuring efficient and accurate survey operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced mathematical calculations and verify the accuracy of field data collected by the crew.
- Maintain and calibrate field equipment to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to develop and execute detailed survey plans.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience.
- Must have experience with Leica and/or Trimble.
- Extensive experience with boundary, topographic, and construction staking, including managing large-scale projects.
- Advanced proficiency in operating and troubleshooting Leica Total Stations, Robotic Total Stations, and GPS equipment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of survey principles, measurement errors, monumentation, and construction practices.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
