About the role

  • Madhive empowers sales teams to extend their reach into streaming and connects local advertisers with the communities they serve.
  • Powering campaigns for over 30,000 small and medium businesses per day, Madhive is driving the evolution of local media.
  • You'll work closely with engineers across the stack to ship reliable, well-tested software and contribute to the quality and evolution of our technology.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain features across our frontend and backend systems, with a strong emphasis on clean, robust, maintainable code.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of user interfaces that give teams and clients strong visibility into system behavior and performance.
  • Support distributed backend systems with a focus on data accuracy, system reliability, and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with teammates to enhance observability and monitoring through dashboards, alerts, and instrumentation.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and processing of AdTech-scale data pipelines and ML solutions.
  • Participate in meaningful code reviews, share feedback, and help drive alignment on technical decisions.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering partners to scope projects, refine requirements, and consistently deliver features on time.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer working with modern frontend and backend technologies.
  • Background in AdTech, including hands-on experience with bidding systems, inventory, supply, and related systems.
  • Experience with distributed systems, including Kafka or similar streaming technologies.
  • Excellent backend development skills - ideally using Golang, but experience with any modern backend language is welcome.
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Looker, OpenTelemetry, Centry, or New Relic.

Nice to have

  • Strong experience with React or a comparable frontend framework preferred.

Compensation

  • The approximate compensation range for this position is $190,000-$220,000.
