About the role

- The successful candidate will work closely with leadership to help shape the strategy, regulatory infrastructure, and long-term direction of a rapidly growing prediction markets business.
Responsibilities
- Experience building or maintaining a compliance program, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- This position will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams (product, engineering, business) to design a compliant product and build the regulatory infrastructure to support it.
- While the primary focus is prediction markets, this person will also provide support across our other consumer-facing verticals as needs arise.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical guidance for business teams
- A solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to operate with limited precedent
- This role does not require a law degree or bar license.
Nice to have
- 5-10+ years of experience in regulatory, compliance, or legal work involving CFTC-regulated products and entities (e.g., designated contract markets, FCMs, or prediction markets).
- Law degree and bar license welcome but not required.
- Strong working knowledge of the Commodity Exchange Act and CFTC and NFA rules
- familiarity with the regulatory frameworks applicable to event contracts and prediction markets is a significant plus
- Familiarity with the gaming, sports betting, fantasy sports, or related consumer verticals is a plus
