About the role
- This candidate will be able to communicate effectively and professionally with both guests and colleagues, respond to requests in a timely manner, and assist in achieving the Departmental and Hotel goals.
- Starting Rate: $$38.14 per hour based on experience & certifications as of September 1st, 2026.
- The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, inspect, and maintain the hotel's mechanical and environmental systems in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform preventive maintenance and minor corrective repairs on hotel equipment and building systems.
- Complete work orders accurately and maintain equipment records through the hotel's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Maintain good working relationships with colleagues, contractors, and other hotel departments.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Requirements
- Alberta Fourth Class Power Engineering Certificate is required.
- Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is an asset.
- Working knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and basic troubleshooting techniques.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during emergency situations.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Monitor water treatment programs and perform required testing for boilers, chilled water, and cooling tower systems.
- Be available to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime, and emergency call-outs as required.

- Job Duties Include:
- Reporting to the Lead Hand Property Engineer, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Conduct routine plant rounds and record equipment operating conditions.
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of boilers, chillers, cooling towers, HVAC, refrigeration, heating, plumbing, and associated mechanical equipment.
- Respond promptly to guest room, public area, and operational maintenance requests while minimizing guest disruption.
