About the role
- Position is also responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the physical security systems and general appearance of the facility, along with providing escorted access to vendors and carriers.
- As a member of the team, you will be working at our office in Rochester, New York, monitoring and maintaining the equipment in our data centers.
- Monitor the Lenel Alarm system for all locations and respond to unusual alarms as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to use the following equipment: ladder, floor tile puller, cable testing equipment, cable snips, basic hand tools, hand truck, pallet jack.
- Make changes to Lenel access types at the system admin level as required.
Skills
- Should be familiar with cable color coding(tip/ring) and, at a minimum, 568A/B pinout.
- Strong communication skills(oral and written)
- Good documentation skills required.
- Must be computer proficient using Microsoft Office software and other software products in use at Centrilogic.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Ability to work any shift in a 24x7x365 environment.
- Ability to analyze and identify issues negatively impacting facility operations.
- Desire to grow and learn new technologies.
- Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Good decision-making abilities are a must
- Flexibility to support24 / 7 operations.
