About the role

  • The Chicago School is seeking a Part Time Campus Operations Coordinator to assist with predominantly evening and weekend coverage.
  • The Campus Operations Coordinator plays an essential role in supporting day-to-day operations and events on the Washington, D.C. campus.
  • The Part-time role will work between 20-25 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Support the management of the campus operations inbox and respond to student, faculty, and staff requests related to campus operations.
  • Support scheduling and information management related to facilities usage and campus events.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing deliveries, mail, and shipments. Ensure proper sorting, documentation, and timely distribution of packages to campus departments and personnel.
  • Support the reception desk as needed.
  • Collaborate with Campus Operations leadership, IT, Academic Departments, Student Services, and other campus partners to support daily operations and ensure coordinated service delivery.
  • Maintain a consistent presence throughout the campus to monitor activity, identify operational issues, and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
  • Document and communicate campus conditions, incidents, recurring issues, and observed trends to Campus Operations leadership in a timely and accurate manner to support risk mitigation and continuous improvement.
  • Support the onboarding and training of student workers and new hires on campus operational processes.
  • Support office moves, furniture reconfigurations, and classroom setups.
  • Provide support for on-campus events, including room reservations, setup, and takedown.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of administrative experience in an office environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and database management software.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull approximately 50 pounds.

Nice to have

  • Associate or bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in facility coordination or event planning.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • This opportunity is budgeted at $18.40 - $25.64 per hour base compensation.
  • Additional factors may impact total compensation.
