About the role

  • Ostium is looking for a senior-level infrastructure/data engineer to spearhead our ambitious efforts on the infrastructure side.
  • This engineer will work on the following:
  • Migrating applications from a legacy infrastructure, to a robust, new infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Using 100% IaC to build, maintain, deploy, and manage applications and services.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Docker, Dagster, Prometheus, and Grafana.

Skills

  • Core infrastructure fundamentals (security, networking, access control, etc.)
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes and Kubernetes best practices
  • Experience writing backend applications in Golang
  • Experience with Postgres, Clickhouse
  • Security Minded - Always looking to decrease security attack vectors.
  • Solution Oriented - Engineers will have requests and needs; it's our job to make sure they can move as fast as possible.
  • Disagree and Commit - Your voice will be heard and so will all your proposals and plans.
  • Improve the New Stack - Find holes and gaps, prioritize them, and fill them.
  • Come with both a critical lens and your toolbox.
  • Stack Orchestrator - An in-house tool for testing and validation of the various parts of our stack locally.
  • Make it mature so developers can run their application in 10 different ways locally and work effectively with multiple agents in parallel.
  • This means both working with app teams + writing application code.
