  • The company has developed an artificial intelligence (AI) powered technology stack purpose-built for commercial trucking and the public sector.
  • In 2024, Kodiak became the first known company to publicly announce delivering a driverless semi-truck to a customer.
  • Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors including: work location, experience, relevant training, education, skill level and performance during interview.

Responsibilities

  • Execution at scale: Own the product lifecycle from opportunity identification through deployment and iteration - holding the bar on quality and metrics across multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Product definition: Author product requirements that set a high standard for rigor and customer fidelity. Partner deeply with Design and Engineering leadership to ensure architectural decisions reflect long-term product needs, not just near-term scope.
  • Travel: 10-20% travel to Kodiak commercial deployments and customer sites to maintain operational intuition and customer proximity.
  • Kodiak is also leveraging its commercial self-driving software to develop, test and deploy autonomous capabilities for the U.S. Department of Defense.
  • This is a senior individual contributor role with organization-wide influence - you will not only own a critical product area end-to-end, but shape how Kodiak thinks about product strategy, customer deployment, and the path to scaled commercialization.
  • You will be the most senior product voice in the room for your domain, setting direction that other PMs and cross-functional leaders align to, and operating as a trusted thought partner to the VP level and above.

Requirements

  • Track record of shaping product strategy and roadmap decisions at the VP level and above
  • you have changed the direction of a program or product area through the strength of your judgment and communication, not just your title.
  • Background in engineering, computer science, or a related field required.
  • Proven ability to set structure and direction in genuinely novel problem spaces - where there is no playbook, the market is evolving, and the cost of getting it wrong is high.
  • Demonstrated organizational influence: Track record of shaping product strategy and roadmap decisions at the VP level and above

Compensation

  • California Pay Range
  • $180,000 - $240,000 USD
