About the role
- The Senior Instructor - Elementary at our Redmond, WA location is an instructor who teaches a full course load during both the Academic Year and Summer sessions.
- This role is a full-time, year-round position which includes the academic year and summer.
- Teach the AoPS curriculum in dynamic, participation-oriented classes, actively engaging students and expertly managing the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Manage all grading and administrative tasks for their assigned classes
- Support the grading needs of other instructors and directors as needed
- Meet with students and families from their assigned classes to conduct various on-demand support meetings (e.g. behavioral, academic, advisory, etc.)
- Create and implement content-specific in-reach / outreach workshops for current and prospective students
- Culture: Work and collaborate with an organization filled with builders and life-long learners who strive to discover, inspire, and train the great problem solvers of the next generation
Requirements
- Please note that in order to be considered for this position you must be legally authorized to work in the US.
Nice to have
- Demonstrated experience teaching elementary content
- Advanced degree related to subject area preferred
- Strong content knowledge in their subject area
- At least 2 years of prior K-12 teaching experience or at least 1 year teaching experience with AoPS Academy
Compensation
- This position includes a salary range of 76,960-79,040 k.
