About the role
- Requires use and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Frequent travel for construction projects is a requirement for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Perform in a support role and place direct buried cabling (fiber, copper) into the ground/earth.
- Perform earthwork labor with various hand tools and industry related equipment (vibratory plow, trencher, digging equipment, industrial pneumatic bore).
- Perform maintenance of buried cable, performing tests and repairs (removals, replacement, and splicing).
- Perform cable tests to troubleshoot issues and identify defective component or section.
Requirements
- Performs related construction tasks as required.
- The role requires basic knowledge of construction site surroundings and as well as some experience with operations of industrial equipment (vibratory plow, trencher, digging equipment and industrial pneumatic bore).
Skills
- Work tasks are laborious and require use of hand tools (shovels, drills, hammers, etc.).
