About the role

Overview Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO&I) is the team behind the cloud.
Within CO&I, the Datacenter Capacity Delivery (DCD) team is responsible for delivering core datacenter infrastructure for Microsoft's cloud business.
Within DCD, the Commissioning (Cx) department is critical to the validation of the reliability and resiliency of new datacenters.

Experience developing first of kind testing strategies and scripts for field implementation.
Cross-group collaborator and influencer across teams and organizations with proven success in participating in cross-functional teams to deliver on key projects.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with peers to provide consistency and clarity in expectations for project delivery across AMER and all Regions Globally - Safety, Quality, Schedule and Cost Predictability.
Ability to develop training modules for new processes.

This includes developing and improving standard testing scripts, integrating them with internal Cx management tools, and providing inputs for testing Cx software.

Business Processes Performing technical reviews of all new datacenter designs and managing the development, validation and implementation of all new or modified test scripts.
Quantifying duration, resourcing and Cx test equipment requirements for each design type in the datacenter portfolio.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
Experience providing global training and alignment within an organization.
Direct experience with load banks, power quality meters, thermography imagers and other related testing equipment for datacenter commissioning.
Experience auditing processes and identifying areas of improvements based on data.

Experience writing business justification papers to drive alignment with multiple stakeholders. #COICareers and #EPCCareers Reliability Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $142,800 - $274,800 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
