About the role
- ITnova is seeking a skilled H-1 Ordnance Technician to join our aviation maintenance team supporting mission-critical rotary-wing aircraft operations. This position is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, configuration, and support of aircraft ordnance systems, armament equipment, and related components to ensure safe and effective mission
- readiness. The ideal candidate has experience with aircraft weapons and armament systems, a strong understanding of technical publications and explosive safety requirements, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, accountability, and operational support in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Performs inspection, operational checks, maintenance, and support of aircraft ordnance systems, armament equipment, and related components.
- Loads, downloads, configures, and services aircraft ordnance systems and armament support equipment within training and authorization limits.
- Performs troubleshooting, repair, and preservation of assigned weapons and armament systems.
- Supports flight line operations, launch and recovery, and turn-around requirements, as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years aviation ordnance or armament systems experience
- Must be a U.S. citizen and pass a background check and able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Must be able to meet any Government and company licensing or qualification requirements for the position.
- D emonstrate knowledge of explosive safety requirements and proper handling of ordnance components.
- Must show proficiency in the use of OOMA within 60 days after assignment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance level for the position.
- Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds.
- A ble to pass a fit-for-work physical and/or drug test as required.
- Must be able to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and working overhead.
- Must be able to work at height in the hangar and on the flight line, as required.
Nice to have
- rotary-wing experience preferred.
- Experience in a military ordnance MOS, related armament specialty, or equivalent background is preferred.
