About the role
- All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation's policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives, and generally accepted accounting principles.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.
- Directly supervise and conduct financial analyses.
Responsibilities
- Modify and maintain the Daily Operation Report expenses, with focus on accuracy to actual costs and updated reporting to suit the corporation's needs.
- Partner with operations managers to ensure department systems and tools are used to drive overall efficiency.
- Develop, create and maintain ad hoc reports using SQL Server Report Builder and Bally Business Intelligence.
Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk and move through all areas of the property.
- Must be able to work occasional nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
- Each position has varying minimum qualifications.
Nice to have
- Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of financial or operational analysis experience in the gaming or hospitality industry required.
- Successful candidate must be an experienced, results oriented, and hands-on professional.
- Must be able to evaluate and draw implications and conclusions from statistical reports and other business reports.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
- Experience with MS Access and Word.
- Experience with Infinium, Showcase, ACSC, SQL and Tableau queries preferred.
Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
- Must possess ability to instill a sense of pride and personal responsibility in subordinate employees.
Compensation
- $68,697.18 Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education.
- Assist Manager and Analysts in preparing the annual operating and capital expenditure budgets, including but not limited to the development of budget packets and forms to be used by department management, answering questions pertaining to the budget preparation, meeting with operational management and presenting the Corporations budgets to Senior Management.
