About the role

The EHS Technician supports environmental, health, and safety compliance programs by conducting inspections, maintaining records, assisting with audits, monitoring workplace conditions, and supporting employee training initiatives.
This role works closely with EHS leadership and operations teams to ensure compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, and safety requirements while promoting a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.

Maintain environmental, safety, and training records in accordance with company and regulatory retention requirements.
Support internal EHS audits and corrective action follow-up activities.
Perform workplace safety observations and report unsafe conditions, behaviors, or compliance concerns.
Support environmental monitoring activities and data collection efforts.
Participate in emergency response drills and support emergency preparedness activities.
Maintain compliance with company PPE requirements and all safety procedures.
Gotion Inc. is based in Silicon Valley, CA, currently building a Manufacturing facility in Manteno, IL and has R&D centers in Ohio, China, Japan and Europe.

High School Diploma or GED required.
2+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial safety, environmental compliance, or related EHS support role.
Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance requirements.
Experience maintaining records, conducting inspections, and supporting audits.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Associate degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
OSHA 30 General Industry certification preferred or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
Strong organizational and communication skills.

Experience in manufacturing, automotive, battery, chemical, or industrial environments.
Familiarity with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 management systems.
Experience with hazardous waste handling, spill response, or environmental monitoring.
First Aid/CPR certification.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Ability to walk manufacturing floors and outdoor areas for extended periods.
Ability to climb stairs, bend, stoop, and lift up to 40 pounds.
Occasional exposure to heat, noise, dust, and industrial manufacturing conditions.
