About this role Andrenam is seeking a Staff Infrastructure Software Engineer with expertise in building and scaling infrastructure across cloud, on-prem, and edge environments. Our core engineering challenge is developing a platform that ingests, processes, stores, and analyzes

Responsibilities

  • You will design and build reliable, scalable systems that support real-time data collection and analysis across thousands of distributed nodes.
  • You will contribute to technical decisions across hardware, software, autonomy, and business teams to ensure infrastructure choices support the full product stack.
  • You will help establish engineering standards for how we build, test, deploy, and monitor systems in both cloud and edge environments.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in architecting, deploying, and operating real-time, high-volume data processing systems across cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, Go, C++, Rust, or related languages.
  • You can write production code and debug across the stack.
  • Expertise in Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, containerd), and orchestration (Kubernetes) in production environments.
  • Experience integrating software systems with electronics or hardware.
  • Experience deploying and managing database systems (SQL and NoSQL) at scale.
  • A track record of taking large, ambiguous engineering problems from zero to one.

Nice to have

  • Experience with IoT systems, defense tech, or maritime/autonomous systems.
  • Background working in environments subject to export control, ITAR, or similar compliance requirements.
  • Experience working directly with non-technical stakeholders to translate infrastructure capabilities and constraints into business decisions.

Compensation

  • Salary Range $180,000-$220,000 The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
