About this role Andrenam is seeking a Staff Infrastructure Software Engineer with expertise in building and scaling infrastructure across cloud, on-prem, and edge environments. Our core engineering challenge is developing a platform that ingests, processes, stores, and analyzes
Responsibilities
- You will design and build reliable, scalable systems that support real-time data collection and analysis across thousands of distributed nodes.
- You will contribute to technical decisions across hardware, software, autonomy, and business teams to ensure infrastructure choices support the full product stack.
- You will help establish engineering standards for how we build, test, deploy, and monitor systems in both cloud and edge environments.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in architecting, deploying, and operating real-time, high-volume data processing systems across cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Go, C++, Rust, or related languages.
- You can write production code and debug across the stack.
- Expertise in Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, containerd), and orchestration (Kubernetes) in production environments.
- Experience integrating software systems with electronics or hardware.
- Experience deploying and managing database systems (SQL and NoSQL) at scale.
- A track record of taking large, ambiguous engineering problems from zero to one.
Nice to have
- Experience with IoT systems, defense tech, or maritime/autonomous systems.
- Background working in environments subject to export control, ITAR, or similar compliance requirements.
- Experience working directly with non-technical stakeholders to translate infrastructure capabilities and constraints into business decisions.

- You'd be an early member of the software engineering team, helping shape the architecture and technical direction of the platform from the ground up.
Compensation
- Salary Range $180,000-$220,000 The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
