About the role
- The m7G 5' cap structure of mRNA is one of the defining of eukaryotes, yet the evolution of the structure central to protein translation and non-self RNA surveillance has been elusive.
- This postdoctoral research will be supported by cutting edge research and bioinformatics tools, as well as the expertise of the NEB research community.
Responsibilities
- Develop and apply enzyme- and sequencing-based assays.
- Support the supervision of graduate and undergraduate interns.
- Experience in the design and execution of high-throughput experiments.
- Collaboration with academic and industry partners.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in formulating and testing hypotheses using enzymatic and next-generation sequencing assays (Illumina, ONT).
- Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to learn and apply cutting-edge bioinformatics tools for the analysis of genomic and metagenomic data.

Compensation
- Estimated base salary for a Postdoctoral Fellow is $74,000
